Sustainable fashion (also known as eco-fashion) is a movement and process of fostering change to produce fashion products using ethical practices, along with environmental friendly materials and practices.
Sustainable fashion addresses the entire manner in which products are produced, who produces it, and how long the life span of a product is before it reaches the landfill.
The Mrs. Clutch was founded on the idea of preserving your bridal clutch, re-purposing your clutch and handing this heirloom down to the next generation. Classic in design, our bride clutch was designed to last the test of time.
So many bridal accessory companies offer fast, inexpensive "fast fashion" accessories. Using cheap labor and over production of items, leads to over consumption. This practice of fast fashion has been straining the environment for decades. It's time to put a stop to overproducing goods. The Mrs. Clutch proudly produces our bridal handbags and wedding day essentials in small batches. Brides place their order and wait 30 - 60 days for some of our bespoke goods.
Using a small artisan work room in Italy, ensures that The Mrs, Clutch only produces what we can sell. Our family run factory in Florence, Italy is a third generation family of Italian craftsman.
Bespoke quality, by hand and in limited numbers ensures The Mrs. Clutch will have less excess stock and eliminates the possibility of excess goods. All too often retailers send excess goods to landfills. The Mrs. Clutch has vowed to produce in small quantities and to never send any excess inventory to a landfill.
We offer year end sample sales and charitably donate our damage or slightly used samples. Keeping our brand sustainable and ethical produced is at the core of The Mrs. Clutch brand.
